Our Grade 3 students are taking the MCAS for the very first time this week. They may be nervous but they are also prepared. Prior to testing, students in Grades 3–5 set personal goals and discussed strategies to help them be successful.

Our Grade 4 and 5 students have already completed Sessions 1 and 2 of the English Language Arts MCAS. It has been wonderful to see students taking the MCAS seriously, working thoughtfully, and taking their time on each section of the test. We are incredibly proud of their effort and perseverance.

In our younger grades, students in Kindergarten through Grade 2 are completing their iReady diagnostic assessments. Many students have grown significantly according to the data.

Thank you for your continued support in helping your children come to school rested, confident, and ready to do their best. We are grateful for our strong partnership with you.

As always, if you have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to reach out.

Lisa DiDonato, Principal (ldidonato@framingham.k12.ma.us)

Jackie Carrasquillo, Vice Principal (jcarrasquillo@framingham.k12.ma.us)

Student Cell Phone & Smart Watch Use

Students are not permitted to use cell phones or smartwatches during the school day. We have included smartwatches in this policy because many models now have the ability to text, call, and take photos, just like cell phones. If a student is found using their phone or smartwatch during the day, they will be asked to put it away. If the issue becomes persistent, the device will be held in the office until the end of the day, and caregivers will be notified.

Thank you for your support in helping us minimize distractions and maintain a focused learning environment.

School Goal for 2025-2026

This year, our shared focus at Stapleton is captured in the following student-centered goal:

“As a Stapleton student, I believe in myself and take an active role in my learning.”

Students in grades 3-5 are currently making goals for MCAS and strategies they can use during testing days.
