We hope that you enjoyed the beautiful weather this weekend. Thank you to those that were able to attend the PTO Fall Festival. It was a lot of fun! We have a busy week. We have Operation Warm coming on Wednesday to gift every student a winter coat. We will also be practicing our Stay in Place and Lock Down drills this week and bus evacuation drill on Thursday morning.

It was a beautiful day for the Fall Festival. It was wonderful to see our Stapleton community enjoying a wonderful event together! Thank you to all that were able to join the fun.

Ms. Merullo, a grade 3 teacher, is on maternity leave. Mr. Ofgant will be the long term substitute teacher. Mr. Ofgant was a TLC staff member working in that third grade class. He is familiar with the students, classroom routines and curriculum. We are excited for Mr. Ofgant and the students of room 303.

Operation Warm is a non-profit organization that provides brand- new winter coats. This year, Operation Warm would like to give a gift to your child with the help of our friends at  TJX We would love to provide your child with a brand-new winter coat completely free of charge, during our giving event at Stapleton  on October 23rd.

With Halloween approaching we want all students who celebrate to enjoy the event. Candy can be hard to resist and many of our students have allergies. We ask your help to not bring in candy into school. Thank you

Literations is an intergenerational literacy-based organization designed for students who are not yet reading at grade level.  Literations helps 1st through 4th graders become strong readers and develop confidence. We have this program at Stapleton and the trained volunteers will be starting soon.

Students are not allowed to use their cell phones during the school day. Students who are found to be using their phones will be asked to put it away. If this becomes persistent we will hold it in the office until end of day and let caregivers know. Thank you for for your assistance with this.
